Bachelor of Education in Primary Education (Advanced Standing)

Programme Overview

This programme is designed for individuals who already hold a TCJ Diploma in Education, or equivalent teaching qualification and wish to upgrade to a bachelor’s degree. The programme strengthens classroom‑research skills, curriculum development, and instructional leadership. Graduates are prepared to take on expanded roles such as grade coordinators and lead teachers, while also enhancing their qualifications for further professional or postgraduate study.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A TCJ Diploma in Education awarded as Pass, Credit, or Honours
  • For Diplomas earned before 2005, the transcript must be assessed
  • Applicants must submit proof of Diploma and an official transcript when applying

Supporting Documents

  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Original Diploma
  • Official Transcript (mandatory; required for ALL applicants)
  • Tax Registration Number
  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
  • Two professional reference letters (signed and on letterhead)
  • One passport‑sized photograph (not more than 6 months old)
Important: When applying, copies of birth certificate, marriage certificate and academic certificates must be verified (stamped and signed) by a Justice of the Peace.
