
Department Primary Goals
In order to fulfill its Mission, Vision, and Core Values the Department has the following goals:
- Support excellent and innovative teaching at both the Primary and Early Childhood levels that draws on faculty research, makes use of the latest instructional technologies, and employs effective and well grounded teaching strategies.
- Hire and retain a faculty that sustains a high quality learning environment through effective teaching, productive scholarship, and useful public service.
- Collaborate closely and effectively with schools and other communities agencies to improve teaching.
- Identify, build on, and enhance the Department’s existing strength.
